When I was stationed in Louisiana and Mississippi, we'd make runs over to New Orleans once in a while.
We'd usually stop by Bear's to get Po'Boys. I'd usually get roast beef. Fried seafood is also quite popular.

It's kinda like a cross between a hoagie and a hot italian beef sandwich. You get a baguette with roast beef (maybe some ham or turkey), cabbage, pickles, tomatoes, mayo, spicy mustard, and roast beef gravy.
