    Default Doom (Series)

Who among you have played Doom?

I was introduced to the series through the 32X addition of the Sega Genesis port. It was the first first-person shooter I played before I knew what first-person shooters were, and before they became cool if I remember right. It was a lot of fun even though I was crap at it, though that can be said for nearly every game I played as a child. I never got around to playing the second or third game, but I thought I'd keep it open to talking about the whole series for the rest of you.

    So talk about DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Yes ! I loved this game growing up !

I think I played it on the DOS computer, haven't played it yonks though, must try and replay it sometime.

    I can only remember a level, maybe it was a cheat level ? Where everything was pitch black, total complete darkness, and monsters were everywhere. Good luck surviving ! Tons of fun c;

Played Doom for the first time on DOS, like maybee. It was the first game to induce video game-related motion sickness in me. I was like eight. I will always hate it for this.

You know what's even better than Doom?

    Chex Quest.

Because back in the day you'd get video games in cereal boxes.

I watched the movie. I liked the movie. That's as close to Doom as I've ever gotten.
    Jack: How do you know?

Will: It's more of a feeling really.

Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?

    Will: No.

If Demolition Man were remade today

Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
    Huxley: NO!
    Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
    Spartan: But Huxley.
    Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
