Zucchini and Courgette are both acceptable words for what I feel is a vegetable that is sadly underused.

Aubergine is fine but the word egg plant is not. Don't tease me by offering egg then provide some squidgy, purpley-brown abomination.

Also, controversially, I think that sidewalk is a superior word to pavement.
