I'm at that Salamando or something town, how do I get back to Fynn? I seem to be going around in a circle.

MP is the hardest thing to grind for. I don't know about the PSP version, can you turn auto-targeting off? If an enemy dies before a character has a chance to attack a targeted enemy, the character will automatically switch to another target. If you turn this off, the character will attack the air and have no effect. This prolongs battles and, since gaining MP is determined by how much you use per battle, you will gain MP more often. This helps gaining weapon and magic levels, too.

I talked to the knight. That was a mistake.

Somehow I missed talking to Minwu on my first playthrough and I ended up grinding until I reached the area where the dreadnaught lands -.-"

You should have access to the world map now, try looking there?

The ring from Prince Scott gives you access to the World Map. Granted, I do not know how... I was kinda gambling on you already knowing, lol :3

Just found it in my instructions, it's circle plus select. I imagine they wouldn't have changed it for the PSP so give it a try. You may have an option to make it flat or a glove in config.
