Laguna finds an old key (no spoilers please if possible)

So I'm on my first playthrough of FF8 and I just had a strange scene. I found a key and the text box says something like

Laguna found a key

I feel a breeze up my butt

There must be a hole in my trousers.

(searches for the hole)

Laguna loses the old key.

What was that all about then?

Kind of strange but it was funny, by losing the key will I miss out on something later.

There are two keys to find. Laguna loses both of them. You cannot keep them.

That said, it does unlock things later in the game. Finding (and losing) the keys will open a door to an Ultima draw point, or open a door to obtain a LuvLuvG.

Okay cool I never knew what those keys did. I figured I would keep finding them all over until he ran out of pockets with holes.

It's Laguna. He will never run out of pockets with holes.
