FF characters that remind you of tv/film characters.
I'll start;
Snow- Zap Branigan- mainly the voice but there are a few character traits.
Garnets appearance used to remind of Kelly Kapowski from saved by the bell, it was fun being 13 lol.

FFVIII's Cid and Robin Williams, Barret and Mr. T, Sazh and Lionel Ritchie :P.
Not entirely sure why, but Cloud always reminded me of Vash the Stampede from Trigun, especially in the scenes where Vash's hair isn't stylized. When Cloud gains his memories back, there's a similar somberness to him that I see in the later episodes of Trigun. He also has a tendency to act cooler than he really is, like Vash (I could see Cloud flipping his hair with all the flair Vash has).
The relationship between Rydia and Cecil prior to Cecil being shipwrecked always made me thing of Jean Valjean and Cosette. The redeemed criminal finds salvation in taking care of a girl whose mother he had previously wronged.

Barret and Mr. T is the only one that registered for me. I never thought of any other celebrities while playing the games. I only saw the Robin Williams thing in VIII after others here mentioned it.

Robin Williams as Cid Kramer and Mr T as Barret Wallace seem painfully obvious to me. I also get a giggle out of Meg Ryan as Tidus. I reckon Selena Gomez could do an okay Princess Garnet. Chris Hemsworth would make a good Sabin/Edgar Figaro; maybe his brother Liam could play the other.
