Default The price of magic is too damn high!

Man, the economy sure is tough. We just had to pawn off Gus' axe so we'd have money to buy some spells. Poor Gus, he was all teary eye when he had to give it away. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS VIVI!? I thought we were pals. Just sitting there behind your desk with your ridiculous prices. SMURF YOU!

What do you do to raise money for magic spells? Or do you stick it to the man and refuse to buy until he lower his prices?

    Discuss.

    I buy all of it.

    All of it

it is expensive, but the PSP version seems to be slightly cheaper. I remember I was pretty expensive too.

Seems like the II section of the forum has picked up since I've started playing.

How much is it for you? Fire, Lightning and Ice all cost 400G for me. 250G for Cure.

I dun remember, I'm going back through the towns to make a magic guide for the site. I do know that guide's I've seen say the current spells I'm saving up for are 1500 and I'm only paying 1000. Saves some money after 4 spells.

Okay just got back to Altair.

Fire, Thunder, and Blizzard are 150 and Cure is 100.

Origins for the PS1. Only version for I and II I have. Never played the GBA port and I don't have a PSP in my possession.

Yeah, I never had to worry much at all about the price of spells. If I didn't have the money I just didn't worry at all about it. There were certain spells I'd save up for I think (probably cure was the first I got; I can't remember.) I really didn't use magic too terribly much. I just continued to level up the characters physical stats with one character on white mage duty, which helped save money with spells. I'm pretty sure you can find spells inside of dungeons too, which I'm pretty sure is where I exclusively got magic after a certain point. Again, I can't remember for sure.

Yeah magic is pretty expensive, but I was able to buy a few things after the first actual dungeon I went through! The PSP is pretty well balanced in this regard, it seems.

Don't blame you. I'm already doing damage well into the 100's with just my fists.

I think you go back and forth to places you've visited before, so if you play your tactics right, you can still survive and get the magic that you need later.
