It would be nice to see new footage.

It will not be out until 2015. Just my guess. They have done NO promotion for this game whatsoever, besides E3 trailers. It's gonna be promoted heavily this summer, but even then it will still be too early. I'm definitely not gonna get my hopes up and expect it this year.

I can see it as Q1 of 2015 at the earliest but E3 may surprise us.

Looks more like God of War than a Final Fantasy. Not looking forward to this at all. What a disappointment.

It's been established almost from the start that this was going to be more Kingdom Hearts that Final Fantasy. The only thing to be disappointed by is that Square didn't have the courage to make this a fresh IP.

If they wanted to make a different type of game then that's fine, but don't make it a Final Fantasy when its anything but. This is how you alienate your audience. Looks like a futuristic shooter going a million miles a second.
I loved the gameplay of FF's pre-XIII, but since its come onto the PS3 era they seem obsessed to make it look as futuristic as possible, losing all the charm and vintage feel of the previous installments. I'm sure I'll have no idea whats going on in battle for half the game if I pick this up instead of sitting back and putting more effort into how best to win a battle and strengthen my characters for an example. I really don't get why Square-Enix are doing this. And its not as if it needs to be done or anything to 'keep up with the times'. If its not broke, don't try fix it.

^ Honestly dude, the game isn't out, and this trailer isn't the entire game. It's hard to say it isn't like a final fantasy when you don't even know what the other aspects are.
No one knows honestly. I recommend watching this: Final Fantasy XV - All Trailers - YouTube
This is all the FF15 trailers over the past 7 years. The current trailers stay in one setting, which seems to be the big opening scenario, which is apart of the grand story when s*** gets real. It may not show what was in the past trailers, but that doesn't mean they scrapped it.
There have been interviews with nomura talking about open exploration, the ability to use cars and air ships, summons, and a lot of other final fantasy cannons showing us enemies like leviathin, iron giant, and behemoth - final fantasy cannon creatures. The most current trailers are an attempt at broadening to a wider audience, getting people excited about what seems like awesome gameplay.
You have to remember, Nomura, has been with Square, before the Enix merge, he's been with square since FF7. He's making a final fantasy.
Also, we aren't in the 90's. Technology advances, people change, the same people who made your beloved games no longer work for square unfortunately. But you can find them at companies like monolith soft and play games like older final fantasies called xenoblade chronicles, ninokuni, and bravely default.
If anything square should be respected as a company that has balls that tries to innovate even if it's not always a success. They could be known as the call of duty or madden franchise; the series that release yearly, but nothing's changed much, always playing it safe in their comfort bubble :/
You have a right to your opinion of course, but the game isn't out, and no one has info. If you don't like what you see, no one's forcing you to play it. However; Square has every darn right in this world to title the game they put years, labor, and investment into, what ever they want. It is a final fantasy.
