Homemade guacemole. Oh my god.

Ham, turkey & lettuce in a ciabatta roll with Thai beef noodle soup. Nom nom nom.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Made veggie fried rice last night. NOM! With carrots, green beans, bell peppers, spinach, and celery.
I had a pretty big sandwich today which I am eating the other half of now. It contained turkey, cranberry, and stuffing. Tasted like Thanksgiving. Tomorrow I already know what I am having for lunch. It will be from my favorite salad place that has so much assorted options. I think I will get grilled shrimp salad with some stuff. I love New York's options of cuisine.
♪ 7am waking up in the morning, gotta be fresh gotta go prep my pork. Gotta skin the meat, gotta chop all the veg, preheating the oven takes a little while ♪
Ahem So I'm making a slow cooked pork roast today, definitely the longest cooking process I've ever done, even though nothing about it is particularly hard. Figured I'd share some pics.

I had to remove the skin from the cut of meat, and yes, you totally do feel like Tywin skinning that deer while you do this.

We got these onions from my Nonna who got them from a lady down the street, and I don't know if it's because they're fresh or homegrown or what, but they were actual death incarnate. Haven't cried that much since the last time I watched Good Will Hunting.

So I'll be back in about 10 hours with an update. If I'm not then assume the whole thing when balls up and I've gone to quietly sob in a corner somewhere.
I had Taco bell and some sliced chicken today.. but then I keep forgetting to eat, so.. .
So this is love and See you space cowboy were made for me.
I made a great dinner today, I made:
Roast Chicken breast seasoned in herbs and spices served with; roast parsnips, new potatoes, carrots and red onions (in a herb butter) garnished with a home made thick gravy and cranberry sauce.
Somewhat stuffed right now, but hell yeah
i ate you. wait thats not right....
i ate chicken, roast potato and yorkshire puddings
i like pasta
The usual stuff, only with McDonalds on top.
There isn't a lot of variety in my diet.
Pheesh's post should be in the Let's Play forum.
Pheesh Plays Slow Cooked Pork Roast
Pheesh never updated.... I guess he spent the night crying in the corner!
I've cooked many dishes, slow roasts are pretty great imho though I prefer to leave the skin on to make crackling with (give it some scoring to allow heat to better penetrate to the meat then salt it heavily to make sure it crackles up. The cider bath is a nice touch, always goes well with Pork with Leeks/Onions and like some Parsnips and carrots (could even throw in some sprouts but I prefer them to be cooked quicker to retain texture and flavour)
I crackled the skin after I took the roast out because the whole thing is cooked at 130C for 10-12 hours under foil, so it never would have gone crispy had I left it on. The whole thing went well though, it just turns out that after 10 hours of smelling food all day and a hectic last hour of cooking the last thing you feel like doing is taking pics of it all xD We had it with mashed potato and charred baby carrots and baby corn, then I reduced down the remaining cider and cooking juices into a gravy. We also have a good 1.5kg of leftover pulled pork though, so tonight Tara's making pulled pork chilli con carne and tomorrow is pulled pork sliders.
Last night I had to use some mussels that my Dad had caught down at the river, so I made some chilli mussels. It was my first time ever making them and they came out amazing, I was incredibly happy with the result.
Yeah it was a pile of pork on a plate with a side of mash and veggies! Was delicious! Can't wait to shred it up!
I'm now eating the rest of that mussel broth with some crackers for lunch and it's divine. I think it got spicier over night as well. Phwwooooaarrr.
Me and Pheesh are smurfing top chefs man.
