Which one of the two songs do you like better? Both Originals and also Tinker's?

1000 Words (English Version). I think it's just a better song overall.

I like them both, but I prefer the first one.

1000 Words, but the Japanese version is superior, IMO. The singer just has a less generic voice. For suteki da ne, I just cannot stand RIKKI's singing. The saddest part is that, with every consecutive concert, she got more and more off-tune. Not surprising, considering she never really seemed to know what she was doing with her voice.

Definitely 1000 Words. Had more impact in the game and has more impact on its own as a song.

Isn't it wonderful all around. I barely even remember how 1000 Words goes until I'm listening to it.

I personally find the original Japanese version of '1000 Words' kind of annoying. The song itself is fine, but Ms Koda's habit of making her voice crack on every second syllable is like a cheesegrater on my eardrums. Jade's English performance may be more 'generic', but I prefer it by a wide margin.

I like '1000 Words' and 'Suteki Da Ne?' about equally, I guess. Charming songs that suit their respective games well.

I am surprised by how many people like 1000 Words better.

Probably because the scene it accompanies is so much more effective. The 1000 words sequence tells the whole story of Shuyin and Lenne and genuinely makes me care for them, more than for that convoluted romance between Tidus and Yuna the game before, all without a single line of dialog. Suteki Da Ne is just a really awkward sex montage.

And D, yes, Koda Kumi's voice does weird things, but at least she has a beautiful timbre. Jade sounds like a chipmunk. I guess that would make RIKKI a sugar-glider...

Damn, nice Yuna cosplay on both videos. That Kupo outfit is too cute.

One thousand words. I forgot all about the other one until listening to it again, but One thousand words has stuck with me.

I wasn't even aware there was a non-japanese version of suteki da ne. It played in japanese in my european version of the game.

It's played in Japanese in the NA version as well, but I know there's an English version. I'd heard it before and they performed the English version at the orchestra we went to last summer.
