yeah it is the only thing holding me back too. You can get the 128GB edition for far less though. Just slightly more than the iPad i mentioned earlier. I'm just worried 128GB might be a bit too little, but then again, it does support microSD cards, which you can get in sizes up to 64 GB already, and affordable 128GB cards will probably be available long before that tablet is outdated, if you want more.

I'm not gonna check UK prices, but the 256GB version is 10700 NOK here, while I can get the 128GB version for like 7000.
