Good sign that something else is coming?
I was talking to Scotty the other day about some guy named Verandus who's supposed to be some well known Japanese gaming industry insider claiming that they were working on a Final Fantasy VII remake. I didn't post about it because I found it kind of shady. His comments were on a discussion about the director of VII talking about how he wants to do a VII remake but would have to be motivated and blah, blah, blah. And that was only published four days after this article. But I don't see why they'd have to register Shinra's trademark for that.
I heard about that too on another message board but I don't know this Verandus guy from the man in the moon. Supposedly he's been quite accurate with some of his other information though, according to someone on that board who's evidently familiar with him, so who knows. Anyway I'll believe the remake thing when I see it, especially since Square Enix people claimed it would take them ten years to remake the game or whatever.
Square Enix has actually decided that making games is no longer profitable enough and is going to start building mako reactors. They just want to make sure they can keep the Shinra Corp name once they make the transition.

At least if Square Enix moves into building Mako Reactors I will feel validated in wanting to explode their nonsense.

Would I be able to be hired to join your cause, Jiro, if I told you that I am an EX-SOLDIER of Square Enix? It won't do you any good because I don't actually remember the layout of anything, and thus you don't get the advantage of someone who knows the ins and outs of the reactors. But that's okay.
