So big words came up in chat (or rather, some defenestrating happened), & I got the idea to have a Word of the Day!
I'm not sure exactly how this should work, but here's today's word!
Defenestration:
de·fen·es·tra·tion
Pronunciation: \(ˌ)dē-ˌfe-nə-ˈstrā-shən\
Function: noun
Etymology: de- + Latin fenestra window
Date: 1620
1 : a throwing of a person or thing out of a window 2 : a usually swift dismissal or expulsion (as from a political party or office)
— de·fen·es·trate \(ˌ)dē-ˈfe-nə-ˌstrāt\ transitive verb

I have a whole book of 3000+ words and I used to do word of the day in 2012. I plan to start up again once Michael gets older.
For now I have Spanish word of the day.
I also like this word. Værn taught it to me as it is often what I do to him for no reason what so ever.

I had a friend in elementary-high school that used to tell me he was going to defenestrate me nearly everyday, or he would talk about defenestrating someone that was bothering him. It's a pretty fun word.
