The destruction of Etro's heart (which was apparently enough to kill her) didn't do anything to him, and he is just sitting on a throne reveling in the destruction of everything. What the hell. The entire point of his story was to put an end to the eternal life that both he and Yeul had. Making him survive that just turned him into a cartoon villain with no depth or substance.
I agree. That ending sucked.
