For finally auto targeting a different enemy when another party member defeated said enemy. Oh, and switching jobs mid game was pretty damn cool, too!

I will echo the above, but I will also thank it for being one of the greatest games of all time, for giving us moogles, specific music for bosses and a final boss theme, for giving us the Crystal Tower so FF XIV could make an awesome tribute to it, for having quite a deep story for its time, for having the first villain in the series not motivated just by evil for the lulz, for starting a whole lot of Final Fantasy trends and for being the best NES game, hands-down, period.

Maybe I'm forgetting a few things, but I think everything I forgot is encompassed in "greatest game of all time" pretty nicely.
