Wow. That looks really good, Fynn! Though I do have one criticism to make. His arm. Particularly the one where he's holding onto the back of his neck. That position looks very awkward. Please note that you should have the forearm positioned behind the upper arm, not in front like it appears in your drawing.
His lower arm part must come before the upper part. How much depends on the angle but the inner elbow always shows at least a bit that the lower part is not positioned behind the upper part. The problem in the picture might be the length of the arm or at least that it may seem too long.

Yes. I too have noticed the arm is all kinda of wrong. But I noticed that too late Proportions are terrible for me. The worst thing is, I use things that should help me with this (pictures, figures) and I see what must be done and I try, but I just can't. I guess I just need way more practice with that. It's only recently that I started doing these full-body shots, so I hope that, in time, with enough practice, I can make some progress.
I got this new app on the 3DS called Comic Workshop. It's super cool - it lets you draw your own comics and whatnot. It has loads of useful tools. I've decided to try it out. Fynn's first terrible digital drawing!
So I've been playing around with Pokemon Art Academy for some time now and I really love the tools there, so I decided to use it to show you another one of my characters from my novel.
This is Mike. He's supposed to be Asian-looking, as he's got a mixed Asian-European heritage, but I don't know if I am skilled enough to make that come through. Anyhoo, this character is one that I had the hardest time nailing down a consistent look. And here it is, and I like it quite a lot. My technique could still use some work, though :P
Some more school doodles today! Today's theme is my "Road to Eden" series. It's a set of stories with shifting protagonists and there's supposed to be 12 of them overall. Here's Jamie, the protagonist of the second chapter:
So he's this chubby British 40-something office worker. He's generally well meaning but very passive in many aspects, often blaming others for his misfortunes, even though they mostly stem from his own negligence. Needless to say, he can get very frustrated. I'm pretty satisfied with the design
And here's the rest. I drew 10 out of 12. I do my best to give them more racial variety, so we have two black characters, one Asian, and a couple mixed race. The other two will definitely be non-white, but they're still not really settled in my brain. I have some ideas, but technically those two characters don't exist yet
That's some good face drawing practice Fynn! Something I should do more often, thanks for setting the example
I went crazy and wrote another Eden chapter, then I got to drawing and the newest protagonist got the spotlight
Here's Chance!
His hair is supposed to be a dark brown, but I left it lighter to make the exact style clear. I think I'll do a full body colored pic soon. For some reason, I'm just totally in love with this design
