Default "Something" is hidden in the ARR soundtrack data

windupba.jpgFinal Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn soundtracks have started to ship out! Square Enix though, has let on about something special being added to the soundtrack, hidden in the code.

Over at the ARR developers' blog this was posted in all its cryptic glory:

You see, the FFXIV A Realm Reborn soundtrack is starting to ship out to excited adventurers around the world. Are you excited?

From what I'm hearing...It seems that the soundtrack includes something else, something hidden away inside the data. We've gotten word that it's locked and no one has figured out how to unlock it, but perhaps...perhaps using the name of the one from the 'bridge' would be the key to opening it? Hmm...I wonder!

    - Bayohne (loves being cryptic)

What does that mean? Maybe someone who is more invested in the lore in XIV can decipher it?

Don't forget that the first copies will get a wind-up Bahamut minion!

What do you think is hidden?

Waldo and/or Carmen Sandiego have been hidden in the code.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess it might be some Gilgamesh-themed armour or accessories. That's my interpretation of the 'bridge' reference, anyway.

This is coming from someone who's never played FFXIV, mind you. And I have no idea how plausible it would be a conceal DLC access code in an audio album.

:Edit: Holy crap, that clockwork Bahamut is adorable. But what's with the giant scoop of raspberry icecream on his head?

There's a secret track in a password-protected zip file that you'll find if you download the music. The password is "gilgamesh". DUN DUN DUNNNNN.

P.S. My copy arrived yesterday. Windup Bahamut is indeed supercute.

Wait, do you not actually get a little clockwork Bahamut FOR REALSIES when you buy this soundtrack? Is it only an in-game accessory?

If so, then my face is 100% DISAPPOINT
