present humanity
There was a time when you were once my ally. But there was no place for me in this place. The Old Gods became too much to bear. After my absence of several years, I hoped for changed. I returned but to a vacant and soulless place. The Old Gods were worse than before. You, whom I loved, were not the same. I tried to reconnect with you, but you were too far gone.
You strove to please the Gods, to become one of their acolytes. Even then, I tried to talk. I tried to listen. All of this was to no avail.
I had hoped these events would help you come to your senses. But here we stand upon the precipice of your demise.
Do you have any final words?
what kind of nation should we build? a good nation? a nation of plenty? a nation of muffled joy?
