    Chocobos lose in that scenario.

It's the hatching one on the left that wins me over.

Counter-argument: chocobos are just giant birds. Moogles are a completely unique species!

    AND THEY HAVE POMS!

Chocobos all the way. I agree with Psy that individually Mog may be superior (though Frocobo is pretty close), but overall chocobos > moogles. In the the games, chocobos are useful, whereas moogles are frequently not much more than a cameo or gimmick.

This was a tough one for me. I love moogles and loved the playable one in FFVI, but at the end of the day, I have many more fond memories of chocobos. WARK! KWEH!! uhh... *shakes ass as it runs in the up direction*

    >>> Getting spammed with mail that you did not ask for vs crossing long distances fast and with no monster encounters. Chocobos are more useful..

Chocobos are better, on balance. I think the best iteration of moogles for me was FFXII. They were more realistic, and less cartoonish like Mog is in FFXIII-2 (although Mog, as a character is just adorable).

I don't know, Moogles that command the elements through dance, can stop a raging knight, and sharpshoot your enemies from a distance over a bird that runs away at the slightest provacation when it isn't summoning meteors to murder you sounds like a better deal to me.

I have a confession to make, I never really like moogles all that much.
