FF X-3 isn't happening, sorry. (Various rumors addressed)

The newest edition of Famitsu has come out and it was littered with information about rumors regarding Square Enix and various Japanese developers. There were various things touched upon by Square Enix:

According to Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy X-3 is NOT in development, per early comments following the release of the Final Fantasy X-2.5 novella and -Will- audio drama. The additional stories were not created with the intention of leading into a third title. So no more Yuna for us!

Dissidia: Final Fantasy director Mutsunori Takahashi has also expressed an interest in releasing another Dissidia Title. If you're fans of the Dissidia series then this should be an exciting notion. We may get to see some more of our favorite characters from the earlier games represented in 3D glory again.

Theathrythm: Final Fantasy producer Ichirou Hazama has also shown an interested in another game. He has stated in the past that they resonate with the younger audience of Final Fantasy fans. So once we finally get Curtain Call on our shores we may be able to look forward to another entry.

Final Fantasy XV though? Still no new updates. They merely said that development is going "well". In an earlier report with Nikkei Trendy, President and CEO Yosuke Matsuda said that the company felt “very confident” that both Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III will please fans. So that's a plus!

The thread title is misleading. He didn't say it isn't happening, he just said it's not in development. People keep forgetting that this is the same man who said there wouldn't be a second XIII sequel, and we got just that. He also denied the rumor that Versus XIII was to be rebranded FFXV, and that happened as well.

You can't really take anything these guys say at face value anymore. I fully believe, 100%, that FFX-3 is happening, no matter what Kitase says, and I can't wait for the butthurt explosion when it's officially announced.

Well Famitsu seems to have an in with Square Enix, I'm sure they know more than they are allowed to say. Notice how they didn't even ask about a XIV? XIV: ARR is out X HD is out. Only things in development right now, or should be, are KH 2.5 and KH 3 and XV. Curtain call is coming out soon in japan, nothing left there. Unless they are super focused on those games, which I doubt since if they were we'd have XV already, than they HAVE to be doing something else. Be it X-3 like you're saying DMKA or they are working on XIV, which I still think has something to do with Agni's Philosophy
,the tech demo they released back in 2012. That thing had wayyyyy too much art direction and character development for a freaking tech demo. YOU CAN'T FOOL ME SE.

Unless the game turns out to be terrible, then I'll join them, but X-3 could turn out to be amazing.
