Comic Sans was never a terrible font to begin with. It wasn't good, but not the worst for its time. The problem with it was always overuse and terrible misuse, the way I see it. Comic Neue looks pretty decent.
I don't have a lot of font talk for you right now.![]()
I dislike serif fonts when I read things on my PC and such, but I don't mind them at all when i'm reading an actual physical paper book.
All my messaging programs are set to use lucida sans unicode
everything is wrapped in gray

can you hear me in the void?
Comic sans is all good but it ain't no Wingdings 2.
Shorty, Times New Roman is actually solid. Don't hate it 'cause it's mainstream, you great big ol' hipster.
You should feast your eyes on the best fonts of 2012, of 2013 and of 2014.

I've always had a bit of a thing for:
Georgia Italic, I use it all the time for my Lync conversations at work. It just feels... elegant.
That's actually a really nice serif font, even on a computer display. Not sure if I'd want to read pages upon pages of it though.

Been using a lot of Constantia for my creative writing. For sans-serif fonts, I like Franklin Gothic, but with the spacing closer together than the default.
I liked the font they used in the ASOIAF books as well, and even researched its name and downloaded it. It's called Electra LT Regular. I've used it in some graphic art stuff.
