    Dancing Chocobo The Ending: Or Timey Whimey Ball of Stuff...

    So one of the few novel things about the original FF is that it ends with an odd time travel twist which ultimately negates everything the party did by preventing the time loop from ever starting. So what are your thoughts about one of the strangest endings in the FF series.

    Just for the sake of reference, here is the ending in question:


    Most interesting of all, we never actually get to see this "world returned to normal," nor are we instructed on any of its geopolitical significance...

    They may as well have said, "and they all lived happily ever after," for all the plot relevance it has. But it doesn't matter because THIS was what we were used to at the time:

    Fast forward to 7:15 for the ending.


    Final Fantasy 1's ending is all about the music, as far as I'm concerned. Nobuo really makes that NES chip shine.
