So one of the few novel things about the original FF is that it ends with an odd time travel twist which ultimately negates everything the party did by preventing the time loop from ever starting. So what are your thoughts about one of the strangest endings in the FF series.

They may as well have said, "and they all lived happily ever after," for all the plot relevance it has. But it doesn't matter because THIS was what we were used to at the time:

Final Fantasy 1's ending is all about the music, as far as I'm concerned. Nobuo really makes that NES chip shine.
