Spaces don't generally count as characters in crossword puzzles, but I have to say, clever job using a space as a hinge point here.

I use a program that takes all of the words and hints and makes the crossword, so it wasn't really up to me to leave the spaces in

Ah, I was wondering how you did it. (You could always take the spaces out of the words you feed to the program though...)
