It's probably the Gant bias, but the "No one is above the law" bit makes me think DuGalle because of his status as governor. No one else has stepped forward where the hint would have any meaning to it.

The Gant bias is hard to bypass, but I suspect DuGalle as well. We shall see though. I still don't think they got the Judge's personality right in this, but a good effort with him nonetheless.

    Anyway, good LP Proto!

Welcome back! We're now at the point of no return for our Whit Ness. Will he find himself in deep doo doo, or will his final testimony put all doubt on his shaky testimonies to rest? Will Mathias be found guilty? Let's return to inside the courtroom!

Along with his Baldness and his glorious beard.

    I sure hope so!

How will he get himself out of this mess he got himself into?

Let's show him in this episode of Testimony Busters.

    BUSTED.

    BUSTED.

Hopefully he'll do a better job this time around. THis is his last shot of redemption.

So he saw the victim facing the other way?

Or he'll bash your smurfing head!

    One right after another!

This seems to be the final cross-examination for this case. Let's make it memorable! And for the sake of time, we'll press him when it's necessary.

    Press him!

Not much to use against him here, unfortunately...

    Press him again!

Wait, what? He wants to add to his testimony? Seems to be a cocky move from our witness. What is he up to?

I can't believe this is happening...

    Oh, I'm sure we can!

Now's a good time to present DuGalle's gift.

Well, this has been pretty easy.

    Gotcha!

Only logical answer is the middle one. We select "Right before the murder".

Get ready, here's Apollo figuring out what happened that night...

He's a banker... why would he resort to robbery? It doesn't make much sense. Oh well!

    And that's what happened!

And they usually end up with someone murdered...

Proof alright. That's pretty much an admission of guilt right there!

The Judge orders the bailiff to arrest Whit Ness for the murder of Ilva Mourir. As for the rest of this trial? We'll finish it off next time!

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

Last time, we have just found out that Whit Ness has just been arrested for the murder of Ilva Mourir, so we're just about to declare Matthias Thomas not guilty. Let's go finish this trial off!

    Indeed it was!

    No kidding!

    Victory is so close!

    WHHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?

    Not again!

He has better have a good reason for doing this the second time.

Is he trying to help us, or is he trying to buy more time for his own case??

Well, we are close to winning. What should we do about this?

    Okay, so who did then?

Well, considering Phoenix's advice, there's probably something going on. We should find out the truth. We choose "I agree".

There IS something odd about it.

    We're going for it.

First Payne, now Apollo. I guess no one wants to win today.

    The moment of truth.

The only other person in this trial, other than Whit Ness.

It's all come down to this.

The Judge speaks for us all in this shocking revelation.

It's a rare sight to see degense attorney and prosecutor work together like this. Especially if it's Payne!

    Start flashback.

    End flashback.

It's so nice to see the two cooperating.

    Start flashback.

    End flashback.

    DUN DUN DUUUUNNNNN!

    Now who could that be?

    DuGalle, of course.

    Trucy defends Apollo.

He's obviously feeling betrayed by Apollo.

    She's right, you know.

    Grasping at straws, are we?

    ... Really?

    Well, can he?!

In other words, it's up to Apollo to prove it. Not DuGalle.

Well, we couldn't find any proof in the evidence or profiles, but we do remember what has been said! We select "In the testimony".

    Start flashback.

    End flashback.

    Seems about right!

We obviously can't forget about him!

Nothing is safe from Apollo Justice!

    So, he's been framed?

And why wouldn't he be? He has power and the authority to keep Matthias quiet.

    So it was a divergent!

    It all makes sense now!

Oh, he's about to make a confession! This should put this trial to an end!

...that's it? Not murder, or blackmail? Or anything major? Just perjury?

He should be! This is a travesty!

It almost appeared that we had won before Payne decided to step in again! However, we have come to a new conclusion, and now we have put Asterik DuGalle under the spotlight for the murder of his "good friend". We'll be back with his final testimony.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

A lot has happened since we were just about to get our defendant declared "Not Guilty." Now we have word that it's the esteemed government employee who hired Apollo as the defense attorney for his chaffeur was responsible for Ilva Mourir's death. He's just about to provide testimony for the last time in this crazy trial! Let's get to it!

A refresher, we left off with DuGalle confessing that he lied about giving the card to Matthias.

Let's get started! We'll only press when necessary.

This is the one we press on. Something about that note.

    Enter flashback.

    End flashback.

    How perculiar.

We need to be sure what he wrote his note on, so we choose "The writing surface?"

    It really matters!

    Smart move!

Palm of his hand as surface?

Checking out the evidence. The note mentions that it's neatly written. Let's present this note.

He seems rather sure of himself.

Wow. Much guilt. Such evidence. Very contradict.

    "Don't mind if I do!"

Now imagine writing with gloves on!

    *slams fist on desk*

    Dramatic lines for great effect!

In other words, DuGalle talks too much.

Is this the tag-team of the century, Payne and Justice?

He wears gloves, for crying out loud!

These three shots, the graphics seem corrupted, so it turned out blank. Sorry about that.

DuGalle pointed out that there's no solid evidence against him, so he's pretty much scot-free.

    All hope is lost...

    Whaaat!?

    Is this Matthias Thomas himself??

    Blackmail?

    Betrayed by his own chaffeur!

    unbelievable.

This just gets crazier by the minute!

It's Whit! How did he get here!?

    Get ready for it...

AH HA! AH HA! AH HA! AH HA! AH HA! AH HA! AH HA! AH HA! AH HA!

    Is this the truth?

Some thoughts from the Judge himself.

The jurist system from the Apollo Justice game?

This is a spoiler, but not much has been revealed about it, so I won't bring it up.

Sad, and it appears that this might be the end for this trial if we can't get DuGalle.

Will DuGalle get away with murder? What will happen next? Find out next time!

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

So, let's see how this trial will end. Anything could happen from this point on, as the Judge has been interrupted twice already before handing out his verdict.

Remember, we're unable to find proof that DuGalle was in the limousine, so it seems we're defeated here... Oh well. :/

    Only $50!

    He's certainly cheap.

He's ready to hand down the verdict this time.

DuGalle steps in to speak out his mind for a while!

    He's got what he wanted-

    What now?!

The Judge said in utter surprise!

DuGalle said, disgusted by his sudden appearance!

Is this new evidence? Looks like it!

In other words, he's here to save the day!

This doesn't look good for DuGalle!

Oh, I just had a little help.

    Begin Transcript.
    DuGalle:
Quite the meeting today, was it not? Simply smashing, I must say!

    Mourir:
If you'll excuse me, I'd like to get going. I have quite the long walk home, and it's quite cold.

    DuGalle:
Mr. Mourir, why don't you take my car? My driver will be happy to transport you home.

    Mourir:
    ... I couldn't possibly. It's your limousine, after all....

    DuGalle:
No, no, I insist! My home is only a ten minute walk from City Hall! Worry not on my behalf!

    Mourir:
    ... Thank you ...

    Mourir:
... But wouldn't it make more sense if we both went to your limousine?
That way... you could drop me off home, then be taken home yourself.

    DuGalle:
Well, I certainly can't say no to that, can I? Off we go!

    End Transcript.

And the audio tape is proof of that!

    Get ready for it.

The moment we've all been waiting for!

    He finally confesses.

    Oh for smurf's sakes...

The Judge is real tired of your bulltrout, Payne.

    Let's get this over with...

    Yay! We win the trial!

Stay tuned for the Post Trial in the Lobby!

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

This has been a fantastic little journey. But I have to ask: What was the motive?
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

I kinda skipped that part while grabbing screenshots.

I don't exactly remember what he said, but it went along the line of, "I want to be on the top, but Ilva is only getting in my way." Basically claiming Ilva's his only obstacle from advancing. I'll grab it next time.

    EDIT:
