Okay, it's now time to continue our trial! We're just about to see our first witness! Let's see what we have in store for us with this guy.
He likes to talk a lot, doesn't he? Why couldn't he just say his name for us?
THANK YOU, PAYNE. You're useful for once!
Yeah, it's not like he wanted to be part of this anyway.
Oh what is it this time?
Payne's attempt at bringing the pain.
Uh oh, it's that stare...
Never question this guy's legitimacy!
Thought so!
Finally! Let's get to the fun pa-
For smurf's sake, what is it this time?
Well, there's that little debacle before we examine DuGalle.
NOW WE START! A friendly reminder. At this point of the game, we can either press the witness for more information (HOLD IT!), or present evidence if we find any conflicting info (OBJECTION!).
In other words, it was very boring and he's apparently rambling on here...
That should shut him up.
Pretty straightforward here.
Come on Apollo! Get your trout together man!
Well, there's some interesting things to know!
Glad to know your trusty assistant Trucy seems to agree!
It was important, so we're going to select "Very Important" here.
We presented the Limosuine Data here, because there's a glaring contradiction! At least that's what we're getting so far!
Are you sure about that?
Goddammit! So close!
We select "He wasn't allowed to."
He looks so confident in himself too!
There goes that confidence...
What?! How could you be so forgetful?
Yeah Payne! What about that note?!
They did?!
Yes, and we have some new evidence as well! Next time we'll continue DuGalle's testimony!
Take a look at the Evidence from this post. Also not that I have left out some dialogue since this is a rather text heavy game, so it's possible some info was left out.
This is written so well I would have thought it was an actual addition to the series. He may not be Gant in name, but the writer has him characterized very well. Everyone, in fact. I was laughing throughout.
Two new Evidence items!
Matthias,
This is my dear friend Ilva Mourir, who is fatigued and needs a ride home! Please drive him back to his place, and then you may drive back to my estate. The card key he carries confirms that he has my permission. I will be walking home, so don't worry about me!
-Asterik
One of the two copies found by police. The other belongs to Matthias Thomas, and is currently in police possession.
Welcome back! Last time in the trial against the chaffuer, we have heard our first witness's first testimony. We are now about to hear his second testimony! Drama ensues!
We shall hear from Mr. DuGalle yet again!
He seems rather cheerful about it, doesn't he?
Coming into this with spunk. I like that!
I'm pretty sure we know why...
And Apollo has just been schooled.
That was a waste of time...
There are other ways to save time, you know?
He explains that it would take more time to get to the limousine from the doors, so he saved himself time by writing a note. Seems to make sense.
The Judge seems to agree as well.
I guess that makes sense...
Yeah Apollo! You're the defense attorney here! Make some sense out of it!
Are you serious?
Yes, let's get back to the cross-examination.
Good to know that our assistant is keeping Apollo on his feet with this hard knocking questions.
Red text! Must mean it's a clue! Let's take a look at which statement has something about it.
It's this one.
Let's present the Note to the court.
Let's get to the bottom of this, now!
He's getting cocky here. Must be a good thing!
We didn't see this coming either...
Trucy pulling off her best impression yet!
There goes that idea!
At this point, there's really nothing we can do. All the evidence seems to not say otherwise!
There's no bluffing out of this one. We select "There's nothing".
Is this it? Are we getting a Guilty verdict soon?
What's going on!?!
PAYNE?!!!!
So close to a guilty verdict!! Why would you do this to yourself, Payne??!?
oh, does he have a secret witness for us?
Neither do we...
Enter flashback to just earlier that trial.
End flashback.
Well this is a turn of an event! A surprise call from Payne just before the guilty verdict is called. Terrible move, or has he something up his sleeve? We'll find out next time!
OH man! I feel like i'm playing the game. I can hear the HOLD IT! and OBJECTIONS! When I read it haha.
WHO IS THE WITNESS?! WHAT DID THEY SEE? OMG WHO KILLED EM?!
I'm quite surprised how well-written this is. It's a shame about the glitches. They could make this a full case entry in the series easily.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.
He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.
It is well-written! I think once I get the "Not Guilty" verdict at the end, I will go back and redo some of the parts, going for wrong answers. There's usually a surprise dialogue during any of those mistakes.
It is very well written. I do think the judge could be made more, I guess, wackier, but then that is just me.
So hooked on this story!
