My girlfriend bought me a 3DS for my birthday last year and before that I think it was a new Gameboy Advance SP as I'd lost my old one.
PS4 is my next big buy though.

Oh yes, if we are counting PC I got a new one about a year and a half back.
PS3. It'll be a while before I get a PS4, if ever.
My PS3 back in 2009 which just died last night. They don't make consoles like they use to. It's even worse now, now that there are no more memory cards so my save files are forever lost.
The last system I bought was the special Anniversary Red Wii. Before that I think it was my PS2 or my Nintendo Edition Gameboy Advance SP. IDK when I'll get another system.
PS4, and just before that was my VIta, and then my WiiU, then 3DS.
PS3. I was a late adopter of the PS3, pretty much got it just for The Last of Us.
Nintendo Entertainment System. Let that marinate.

Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.

3DS, although it was a birthday present for my boy.
My last console purchase was a PS3, and that was only when it dropped to £200 at the time. I don't see the point in buying brand new machines that cost £350+ and only have three games worth playing, the feeling of buying a console years down the line with a monstrous amount of games available to play is amazing.
I envied ToriJ when he recently got a PS3, I'll be waiting a few years before experiencing that again with the PS4 back catalog.
The last one I bought for me was the PS3. The last one I bought was the 2DS.
Last handheld I bought was a 3DS, which has also probably been one of my best purchases in the past couple of years.
Before that, I got a PS3 about a year ago because I wanted to play Ni No Kuni, and it's now replaced my 360 as my console of choice.
Looking at picking up a PSP from work soon because there's a few games I've been wanting to play.
+1 to the 3DS crew. I bought it last September in preparation for Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, but luckily there ended up being a stream of A+ titles around the game's release. Unfortunately I feel like the 3DS catalogue's back to a bit of a slump, now, though.
