    I haven't had much exposure of this. I played the game once. On SNES. That's it. But ... spoon? Knife? Am I to believe he was really called a "knifey bard" rather than a "spoony bard"? Or is this something else lol

    It's from the Ultimate Throw Item in the game. If you do the whole quest in the Sylph Cave to wake up Yang by using his wife's frying pan, when you return it to her she gives you an item that will do 9999 damage when thrown by Edge. in the SNES script, it was called the Spoon while in the more accurate translations it is called Knife (as in a kitchen cutting knife).

    Was curious to see how many people would get the reference.

    ...Knife. I never played the SNES version and thus have no nostalgia for it.
