Rabanastre seems like a pretty nice place to live. This is the golden age of Ivalice, so I guess this probably is the best time to live in this side of Marche's modern St. Ivalice.
I would live in FFTA's Ivalice. I'd be a judge and spend my days sitting on chocobos and handing out penalty cards

The amusing things about XII being the Golden Age of Ivalice is that it's not really true. XII is the Golden Age compared to Post-Cataclysm Tactics and Vagrant Story and is referred as such, but in the backstory of XII itself, the Galtean Alliance under the Dynast-King was the Golden Age. Course it's all relative since the point of this allusion is about how every age considers something in the past to be the Golden Age, largely because they can't see how good they have it now.

I'd live in XII's Ivalice if I didn't have to deal with any of the game mechanics or faux-Shakespearean bollocks. I might get to bang Penelo or a viera.

Don't knock the game mechanics, you could set up a gambit to bang the nearest target Viera for you.
I would live in lowtown in Rabanastre and listen to Old Dalan's dulcet tones all day and do all the crazy trout he wants me to do. Can't there be a few monsters though? I would want to do marks and cap out my licence board. At the very least for me to even consider living there there would have to be that level30 dinosaur that roams just outside town so I can stab him with my dagger and run like smurf.

Thanks to the magic of the PlayStation 2 I can live there anytime I want. The beauty of these video games is that you can escape to different worlds.

I'm not sure I would live there forever, but if someone invents a portal and is like "hey jump through here and you can live in Ivalice for a week", I'd absolutely give it a go.

Ivalice is one of the better worlds in FF so of course I'd go. Not even a question. And if I got to become some super powered monster after dying then even better! At least I'd have something to look forward to in death for a change.
