I was a Liara and Wrex kinda guy first time round. Garrus really grew on me as it seems he did for literally every person including the canonical Shepard.
liara/wrex because biotics are broke as hell in this game
you just double singularity and then attach wrex to your arm-mounted krogan launcher and shoot him at stuff like super mario rpg
the reason biotic combos weren't in me1 was because shooting wrex into a singularity would have sent colorful shockwaves thundering through the galaxy
can't have that without robot god giving the thumbs up first
