Do you gamble? Ever? Often? Do you spend much, or little? What do you do?

I don't gamble on a regular basis, but I do on occasions and if I do, it's not a lot.

Sometimes I play the lottery, if that counts. I occasionally buy a scratch card because I find them fun, the most I've ever won is £100! I've bet on a few football games in the past.

I've been to an actual casino once. It was for a friends birthday, and it was fun, but I'm not in the habit of throwing money down the drain. I set myself a budget and didn't overspend. I mostly just played roulette, and I came out with more money then I went in with - it paid for my taxi journey home!

I've been to Vegas a few times. I just kept track of what I spent, so I didn't go into the red. I did win $600 on a slot, which was nice.

I do not gamble, but I do follow horse racing pretty religiously.

Apparently it's really rare for someone to love racing whilst not betting on it. I just think it's fun to watch.

Although, a few years back, I did win the jackpot of €30 from the fruit machine that was in the local Chinese takeaway. That was when I reached the pinnacle of life, it's been all downhill from there.

Every time I EVER go to a roulette wheel, I place my first bet on 0 or 00. The ONLY time I didn't, the table had spun a 0 right as I took my seat, so I hesitated immensely and chose not to bet 00, instead picking a couple numbers and a color. I spent $100 in bets, and the result of the spin was 00. I pretty much lost my trout because it pays out at 65:1 and I hesitated.

No. It's silly, the odds are almost always against you.

I learned my gambling lesson early on in life as an 11 year old young man. I put a single 10 pence in a machine and won £3. Using my naive 11 year old logic I determined that if I put my £3 back in I could have even more money. I ended up -40p because I had to borrow money for the bus home. Man, buses were cheap back then.

Absolutely. Always travel with a budget if you plan on doing so. And, if you are up over your original budget after the first day of your trip, put the starting budget away and ONLY gamble with your winnings. That way, at absolute worst, you lose your budget, but if you were ever up, you go home with what you had when you started.

I used to have a 5 leg accumulator on the football on most weekends but don't bother that much anymore with it. It's fun to stick one on during big sports events like the World Cup though. I think there's a bit of a stigma to it as it's seen as a bit working class, but that's dumb; it's a good laugh.

Yup. If you spend money that you are willing to lose, it can be great fun. When I went to the casino, I didn't expect to come out with anything, it was just a bonus that I did.

I only bet on football because it's the only sport I follow, but I never win! I usually do an accumulator and I'm always influenced by recent form which always fails me.

I don't play poker much anymore, but I used to about once a week. Just $10-$20 buy-in small tournaments (7-15 people). I think the most I won in a single game was probably about $100.

I've been to a casino a few times, and there I play blackjack, $10-15 tables. I've made a total of a few hundred dollars over several occasions.

I avoid slots, roulette, etc. I don't understand pure luck games like those. I don't really bet on sports either, though I will put a few bucks into a work/friends football (American) pool.

I've very rarely gambled in my life, but every time I've played something like roulette or cards with my friends I get scarily into it and become more and more reckless as the game goes on. Maybe gambling is something I should steer clear of!?

I bought a lotto ticket once because the rest of my office was doing it and it was a fun "what if" thing. Other than that, I've never gambled besides "I'll bet you this and that" with friends without actually putting sums on it.

I haven't gambled in a long time and I didn't gamble much, but I've a few poker tournaments where I almost always got second place which was no prize.

I don't care if people gamble but really the thing is to, like others have said, set an amount that you can afford and don't go over that. My idiot of an ex once bet the rent money at a casino because his friend got him pumped up telling him he would win double. Casino's don't make money off of paying people. If you have extra money and you enjoy it then good for you and have fun. If you don't have the money it might be something to hold off on until you do.
