Alright I have been curious to try this game out.

Don't worry if you are following my Dragon Quest LP, I am not abandoning it and will continue to update at the same frequency. I am about to enter a very busy time in my life so before then I am going to enjoy myself by drowning in RPGs! Besides, I could use the destraction

*This is a political story it seems and it is very text heavy so I will do my best to summarize everything as simply as I can. I'm not great with political stories so I apologize if I misunderstand something

Let's get started!

So we stumble upon these two children who are apparently trying to save the world. They might not be children, I don't know, but they sure do look like children.

Apparently they have failed many times to save the world and are getting pretty fed up with it

Apparently there is a war going on because the world is becoming a giant desert, making it hard to grow crops and what have you. Of course many wars are started over natural resources, which seems to be the case here.

So we are brought to a young man who is tasked with some important mission

His name is Stocke

PROLOGUE~~~

So I meet with an unpleasant looking fellow who from what I understand has sent a spy in to enemy territory and that spy has valuable information.

Also, Stocke is kind of a jerk

Apparently the military higher ups want to shut down whatever Heiss and Stocke have going on here and would eat this up

I enjoy having subordinates

Then he also gives me an empty book which in RPG land means MAGICAL BOOK~~~~~~

So I have my mission and I head out

They explain that they can fight and Raynie can use spears and Marco can heal

Then they have some more chit chat haha introductions so on

When suddenly

It isn't when he says this but it begins to immediately after

He is watching Raynie and Marco being dead, which is concerning. He snaps out of it and pretends its nothing

So this is a very important mission is basically what they're saying.

We start heading out of town, but Stocke's BFF stops him to chat

Stocke is like "well duh"

He says he has these feelings when people die

Stocke wonders if this is related to his premonition and if he's going to die too. Then they say their goodbyes

Apparently it is! And apparently it is run by something that a certain people (creatures?) are not fond of

So we leave the ugly town and head where we were told to head (the only place I can go)

Raynie and Marco have this secret river path to follow

And we are attacked by a fire....turkey?

Then I am introduced to the very unique battle system of Radiant Historia

Afterwards, it starts raining

Then we cut to a scene with this big dude and another character who I was convinced was a pretty girl based on the sprite but turns out is a rather unattractive man

This doesn't sound good.

Stocke and the others wait for the spy and Raynie gets impatient because she wants to save her home and not lose anotherone

That is when Heiss(?) took them in and said they can write history together

Sure enough he is and we fight off the enemies. Then Stocke asks where his entourage is

Now we need to get him back to our home!

Yeah that sucks.

So we keep moving forward with Raynie and Marco taking the spy and Stocke guarding the flank.

The trio reaches a crossroads and sits there debating it a while. As they do that, the spy has some spears thrown at him and is killed

This is a bummer

So Stocke goes and tries to find the sniper but he's already gone. To top it off, the south path is blocked off

Stocke returns to the others who feel liek giving up, but Stocke tells them they have to keep going and report this

So we head on our way and eventually bump in to big dude and not cute girl

So he leaves big dude to kill us all. Considering he's called Executioner, this isn't promising.

Raynie tells me to go on ahead as she hold him off.

I stay and Executioner brutally defeats me in battle

And then the premonition comes true

Big dude follows me and threatens me and also insults belief in that Noah guy who seems to be a religious figure

Stocke, trapped, decides to jump in the river. Big dude says he has little chance of survival

But decides to cover all bases anyways. Darn smart villains

Stocke is next seen at the bottom of the river before

Those two kids and the book teleport him elsewhere

Aw man, I love this game

I remember loving the characters. And Stocke is not a jerk, shion

Sheesh, shion. Can't you keep any of your main characters alive? First Crono, now Stocke... And we still don't know if Michael is going to survive his quest.

Also, shion, how can you deny Dias's beauty? Just because he's a man doesn't change the fact that he's really pretty. Just sayin'.

Okay, I can tell this LP is going to take A LOT of posts because I can't get very far without being heavy on the screenshots.

Anyways we now have our hero in some odd place with the two weird children

What is going on here is they are saying my choice to go north is what lead to the death of the others. If I had gone south, things would have went better

It seems that I can use the White Chronicle book to travel back in time and change things.

So much for those stories that tell you not to change the past, huh?

Stocke, remembering the spy being killed, jumps in to action and makes him get out of the way

Then we wonder if we should head north or south and Stocke vehemently insists that they head south (it's like he doesn't want to watch his friends die twice)

But the south end is blocked off!

They decide to apparently give me superhuman strength

I can now move these blockades like a boss.

Raynie and Marco try to take him to a hospital and I'm back with the kids

He asks if they and the book are one and the same or separate

He's basically saying I can't just travel back to before I ate that really bad taco I shouldn't have taken a chance on, but instead I can travel to specific moments that change history.

He also says these moments are shaped by my experience so I can't change something if I wasn't there. Or dead. I think this is them covering their behinds so that you can't just rewind time because you died.

Or maybe that's what happens when you get Game Over, I dunno

Which is why Stocke is still injured.

They also insist on NOT TELLING ANYONE AT ALL ABOUT THIS MAGICAL BOOK

THIS IS IMPORTANT THEY REPEAT TO ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Stocke suspects them of hiding something

They continue with their cryptic answers and I don't learn what they are hiding, although they admit to hiding something.

Meanwhile (I guess?)

They say that she makes bad decisions

Her daughter arrives and had apparently proposed an employment program, which Queenie shuts down as being too expensive

Queenie does not approve of this one bit, saying the luxuries are necessary for [insert stupid reason]. Eruca then says [insert argument about not breaking the backs of the poor]

Apparently Ernst disobeyed her late husband and long story short, she's queen now.

Stocke was brought to the hospital and Heiss arrives to poke and prod at him and give him more work. Apparently the intel was great

Makes me wonder how the world would have ended up had I not changed history.

Stocke asks how the duo is doing

Then Heiss asks a bunch of questions about if the White Chronicle was of any use

And Stocke plays dumb. Then Stocke asks Heiss what he was expecting to happen and Heiss plays dumb.

This is very suspicious indeed. I don't trust Heiss.

He also tells me to go get another job from him even though I am literally still in the hospital.

You can travel back in time from any point, shion. You just can't travel to any point. This is to keep you from making tiny changes to the timeline. Like ensuring the enemy always misses. If you want to retry something, you have to try the whole scene all over from the last historical turning point.
