Mini games you hated

In any Final Fantasy game, what are some mini-games you hated and didn't want to touch with a 10 foot poll.

For me it was Blitzball in X. It wasn't bad enough I hated it, they forced me to play it which made me hate it even more. I dread that part of the game so much and I probably would have replayed 10 more had it not been for that section of the game.

If Lightning Dodging actually counts as a "minigame", then that one. Otherwise, I can't really think of any.

Blitzball, though the Lightning dodging was terrible too but then again I can say this about all the mini-games in FFX.

Don't care for some of the Chocobo races in X, as well as the Dodge the invisible butterflies bit.

- Lightning dodging in FFX was even more tedious
- Chocobo dodging in FFX was seriously more tedious

There's a general theme in this: firstly, virtually all mini-games in FFX was just terrible, and that any mini-game that involved dodging in that game is reserved it's own tier in hell. I can't actually think of a mini-game I enjoyed in FFX.

But there's other games out there. Sphere Break made my horrifying maths present itself, so I didn't like that. The only 'mini-game' in FFXIII, the dreadnought one, was pretty fun. Some of the mini-games in FFVII was fun, but some, such as the snowboard one, the roller-coaster one and the submarine one, were just bleh.

On the plus side, the motorcycle mini-game was pretty good.

I can't agree with most of this. My biggest difference in opinion is reversing the VII choices. The submarine game and snowboarding game are probably the only fun mini-games, thew other two sucked back in 97 and have aged as gracefully as a peach in Death Valley.

Choco dodging in 10, lightning dodging in 10. Blitzball is actually fun, although easy. Sphere break is also fun, but again a bit too easy with no real rewards. I didn't dislike any of the forced minigames in 7. Triple triad ruled but tetra master sucked donkey wiener.

The ones I hated the most: FFX-2`s Blitzball (they managed to turn a not popular minigame like blitzball into something truly horrendous), Sphere break, all those stupid games from the calm lands, Gunner's Gauntlet, FFX Butterfly dodging, chocobo dodging, Lightning dodging.. All the FF chocobo races are dumb, FF13`s slot machine was crap (all the minigames there are crap).. I hated TRIPLE TRIAD, omg I could go on forever..

Well, I enjoyed the LeBlanc massage and digging at the Bikanel desert was kind of fun.. So not everything was that terrible..

The Lightning bolts are not fun because I remember having to time blinks so that they didn't coincide with the lightning flash. The butterfly one sucks too, mostly because I'm not sure what is going on.
