I encourage you all to live life on the wild side and answer in an alternative fashion, especially if it's an unknown number.

This only backfired on me once years ago when I'd applied for some jobs and I answered ridiculously, only to realise it was one of them.

May I ask what exactly you said?

It was a while back and I don't remember exactly! It was something dumb. I often answer with things like 'this is party mcpartyson reporting from party central' or 'hello i am sean, can you please tell me where i am, i'm really scared' etc etc it could of been anything! I just know it was lame and weird. The guy was like '...what' and I then reverted back to normal communication. It got more and more awkward because he obviously thought I was taking the piss. There was a tv on in my room and at one point the guy said 'is that someone laughing?' and I was like 'nooo it's just the tv' but it sounded really false even though it was true. Ah, good times.
