Default Zidane, Best Thief in the Series

This is not about his character as much as this is about how cool they actually made the Thief class in this game, with the ability to steal multiple items of varying quality and his unique thieving skills which gives the class more variety in battle. If their is one thing I love about IX, it is how it re-imagined the basic job classes in the series.

Yeah, Zidane is definitely my favorite video game character and definitely is one of the top two thiefs in the series. Out of all the games I've played stealing is the easiest with Zidane and Rikku and Zidane tops Rikku as a thief because he actually deals some damage. Most of his in battle skill sets don't really have to do with thievery, only Detect, Flee, and Thievery do. He has plenty of out of battle support for it with Bandit, Mug, Flee-Gil, Steal Gil, and Master Thief.

I do like what they did with Rikku in X-2 though. Her entire moveset was centered around the job and she could auto destroy machines with her steal.

I really liked this version compared to like rikku's version is while he could steal he also could do damage. I hated the rikku was crud for damage. Zidane could steal and do a heck of a lot of damage. And depending on how much you stole and what not his skills increased. I also loved that you could get multiple things of varying skill level. So it made sense that they'd have a potion and an awesome sword. Cause dude, potions.

They really upped the thief class in this. Shame I never bothered with it much.

First and only time I've ever bothered utilising a thief in an FF game so I'm inclined to agree.

It's not that locke is bad it's just that Zidane as the Thief class is better!

Zidane was pretty great, but Rikku was a goddamn game breaker.

That's no idle threat. If it wasn't for my doctor's holographic lungs idea I wouldn't be sitting here with my brand new alien lungs keeping me alive.
