You know what? I'm game. I think these sort of things are best if you have someone else doing it with you anyway to spur you on and give you motivation - I'd gladly be that guy.

I suppose my only true weakness I can forsee in me doing this is my love of soft drinks. I really love them. I'm going to have to come up with other alternatives - I know there's Diet Coke, but I think I'd want to stretch beyond that.

I'm guessing natural sugars, like the kind you find in fruits and fruit juices count?
