I've always cringed at that part, whenever I see the 'revised' take on it. Han can shoot a guy and that's ok with me. I just don't get what the controversy is supposed to be about.
Because he's supposed to be a "good guy" and good guys don't shoot first. Only in self defense.

Han Solo is the absolute image of an anti-hero. He's by the smurfing book. George Lucas is a moron and the fact that he can walk around wearing a Han Shot First tshirt shows the absolute depth of his condescension towards his fans.
