Reina to Munich to play second fiddle keeper. Crazy. £4m he was apparently available for. Just ludicrous that someone that good a keeper is willing to settle for second. 31 isn't old in keeper terms.

You didn't see the World Cup so let me give you an honest opinion. He was atrocious and I loved it, due to my ongoing Belgium feud with Bubba. Don't let him scoring a goal - coming on against a tired and stretched Russian team - paper over the cracks. Just looked it up and statistically he was even worse than he was for United last season.

I hope he stays at United.
True, I didn't see it, but pretty much everyone I've spoken to who did watch him said he had a good World Cup. You're actually the first person that has said he didn't.

Either way, would still like to see what LVG can do with him. You mention statistics - the season before we signed Fellaini, he was statistically better than Vidal. Statistics are weird things in football, especially when only viewed over one season or one cup.

Reina isn't that good anymore. He's got good distribution and command of his area, but he's a woeful shotstopper. Just goes down on one knee and hopes for the best. He could still walk into the, say, Aston Villa first team though.

I've not seen anybody say Fellaini had a good World Cup. He did well when he came on against Russia but that's it. Have a look at player ratings - I remember Belgium v Argentina he was woeful (though our new boy Origi didn't do well in that game either!) And yeah, but Fellaini was good for Everton xD It proves the point. Players can get better/worse over time.

This season, like every previous season, will be United's season.

That's what I was getting at. I'd like to see what LVG can do with him, as there's every chance he could do good things. I feel Fellaini was mostly overhyped because of the silly price attached to him (I feel he was worth closer to £18-22m), when in reality last season he wasn't much worse than the rest of our midfield.

But at the moment the papers are saying he's almost certainly off to Napoli.

Yeah well if we go by the same papers Arturo Vidal has had 4 medicals at Man United already.

I know it's still too soon to say, but it would seem Van Gaal has already demanded a high amount of respect from his players and will accept nothing but their best.
I am already saving this one for later.

Don't I know it. Although at least the interest has finally been acknowledged publically thanks to a slip up by the Chilean national coach.

    Mignolet

    Manquillo - Lovren - Sakho - Moreno*

    Can

    Henderson - Lallana

    Sterling - Sturridge - Markovic

That'll do me. Though you'll undoubtedly see Gerrard instead of Can which is fine, but no more 90 minutes for Stevie please. I think that has the potential to be the best CB pairing in the league this season. Potential, I add.

    *Flanagan if Moreno isn't signed.

Still there, he just had a couple of huge nasty knee injuries and he's not been right since. A shame but if Emre Can is worth his salt then it's time to let go.

would still like to see the scousers pick up another top drawer striker, would be good going if you could get one.

Definitely, wish Remy had worked out. The problem is that there aren't any good strikers available.

Hey, you never know, Liverpool could face Barcelona and their £75m rat could bite Lovren.

With Monaco looking to offload Radamel Falcao on loan to comply with FFP, Liverpool have made inquiries about the Colombia striker...
...only to be told that an agreement has already been reached with Real Madrid.
