    Interpol
    Jenny Lewis
    Peter, Björn & John
    She Wants Revenge
    Shiny Toy Guns

Not all of these are favorite favorite bands, but I think they make excellent music and that more people should listen to them.

Dolly Parton (shut your smurfing face, Dolly is the sweetest human being alive and you will respect her or so help me)
    JJ Grey & Mofro

One I'll have to think about.

On youtube you should all listen to Post Modern Jukebox (the Saturday Morning Slow Jams are especially great) and Puddles Pity Party/Big Mike Geier, because they're amazing.

My 10 will probably be a lot of aggrotech, industrial and synthpop since that's what I've been listening to the most lately....I kinda go through cycles. But I'll try to add some unique stuff as well. I'm going to link a youtube video of my favorite song from each band. Anywho, onward!

    1. mind.in.a.box- There really aren't enough good things I can say about these guys. I found them on an industrial radio station, though clearly they aren't industrial. I think they're classified as "Futurepop". I'm glad I found them though, there's not a single song from them I don't like!

    2. Aesthetic Perfection- What can I say, I love angry, screaming music. But not all of their music is screamy and angry! But beware, these guys are not for the faint-hearted!

    3. Psychostick- How about something a little more lighthearted? Anyone who knows me remotely should know that these guys were going to end up on this list (Though, I think I kinda burnt myself out on them. That or I'm upset at myself for missing their last concert here >.>). These guys are HILARIOUS and even more funny when seen live. They really should start paying me for advertising...

    4. ginger snap5- These guys force me into random acts of dance at work while i have my ear buds in. As a bonus, I linked a cosplay dance video!

    5. Erutan (AKA Katethegreat19)- THIS GIRLS VOICE THO. A good chunk of her youtube songs are covers of various songs, but there's quite a few Final Fantasy songs in particular that some people here might enjoy. She adds lyrics to melodies that had none and does it well. The song I linked here in particular has special meaning to me.

    6. VNV Nation- Another group I can't say enough about. Their music is just beautiful.

7.......Imma edit this and add more later because I haz a tired and can't think of anything else right now XD

Because they're stupid. The Roots are extra-fantastic live. Not just musically, but they're just friggin' entertaining.

I was just about to recommend her. Kate Covington is easily one of my all-time favourite performers, whether I'm listening to her covers or originals. One of the most multi-talented out there today, too. Brilliant musician and songstress, and all-round wonderful human being.

:Edit: In a similar milieu, I've got to give props to YouTube performers Peter Hollens, Taylor Davis and Lindsay Stirling. Great mixes of original work and fandom covers.

I rock this album ALL THE TIME. "Avalanche" is so freaking catchy. Heck, most of the album is. Plus the bonus tracks.
