We all know River Phoenix was the inspiration for Squall from FFVIII.
Do you know of any other real-life celebrities who influenced/have been influence by the series? Either as a basis for a design or were fans of the game itself?
Here's one: Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong'o spent an entire summer alone in her room playing FF8 upon emigrating from Kenya to the US.
Joshua Harter became a professional wrestler for TNA and was such a fan of FFVI, his wrestler name was Chris Sabin.
Natsuki Takaya, of Fruit Basket fame, is in love with Final Fantasy and often talked about the games and characters in her author's comment section instead of the actual manga series she was doing.

Oh snap, Lupita really plays some Final Fantasy? I remember back on here in 2006 one of y'all posted a pic of Patrick Stewart walking out a store with the limited edition version of Final Fantasy XII.
