Default Your time limit in the Fire Cavern

    How long do you take?

If I recall correctly, I give myself 20 minutes just so I have some time to draw and card mod some enemies. The less time you have left, the better you'll do. For this reason, I take Ifrit down until I can take him out in 1 or 2 hits and then just let the clock run down to the last minute.

    How about you?

10 minutes, the cave isn't terribly difficult and the enemies outside combined with your GF abilities make this fight a cakewalk. It's helped that the time limit only applies to beating Ifrit.

I take the easiest option and never paid attention to how 'well' I did.

10 Minutes, rush for Ifrit, worry about everything else after he's beaten. You still have the way out after all.

As far as I know you can stay on the Ifrit naming screen for as long as you want, the timer still invisibly counts down but stops at 0 so you can easily get maximum points on Judgment.

I always go for the 20 minute option. I always enjoy spending a bit of extra time in hot, damp caves.

Always just 10 minutes. I even take my time when going around in there. It's really not that hard to slwoly walk through the cave and beat Ifrit in that 10 minute limit.

It's pretty easy to clear in 10 minutes when you're level 70 and Quezy and Shiva have learned all their abilities.

I always go for 20 minutes to err on the side of caution. despite seeing it done im never convinced that i can get through the cave and kill ifrit in 10 mins,

I usually take 20 minutes "just in case", then I get to the Ifrit fight and I've got like 12 minutes left when he's almost gone Then I just let the timer run down.

I didn't know you could get the card mod ability that early in the game.

10 minutes since all I do is gun it to Ifrit and then wait till the closing seconds to beat him to get the better SeeD rank with the help of Squall's skank.

    Sorry, that wasn't very nice.

Though I remember the first time I played VIII I was a very paranoid 10yo and chose the 40min option.....juuuuust in case..
