Wait, Seifer's demise? (Seifer didn't die!) Do you mean the demise of President Vinzer Deling? Edea kills him and then just kindof wanders off and nobody cares. :o
Seifer led the attack of the Galbadian army, but I didn't necessarily think he was placed in charge of Galbadia itself. :o I would think General Caraway would be most likely to advance to leadership of the territory.

Michael Garibaldi from Babylon 5 should do it because his last name and Galbadia kind of look the same if you read them too fast. Sadly, that wouldn't be the dumbest reason to elect someone into position for that city.
It actually would have been cool to see General Caraway rise to the presidency.

Seifer was actually in charge of all of Galbadia after Edea is defeated. Some random soldiers tell you about it if you go to Deling City on Disk 3.
