No. It's like if FFIII were way, way better.

It is kinda fun if you are a job hopper in real life! Now you get to job hop in the game too!
It's FFIII with an enhanced job class system and more character focus but oddly they are similar in theme. The biggest difference is that FFV's gameplay is more flexible about letting the player tinker around more. That and the game is probably one of the funniest in the series.

I really enjoyed it! I can't say if it was like III because I barely remember anything about III
I think you'd like it. It has great characters & the job system is great.
Pike, you'd like this one a lot better than FFIII simply because of the Job system. You tend to lean towards games that let you customize things, so the fact that the job system lets you take on attributes and mix them with other jobs should get your blood pumping.
