    Dancing Chocobo FFVI music

What was your favorite musical theme in this game?

I'm gonna be predictable and go with Aria di Mezzo Carattere.

    "The Decisive Battle"!

But the boss battle is usually too short for me to enjoy the whole track.

So I get my characters to kill each other.

In the past I would have probably said Ario di mezzo Caratere or Awakening but lately I think Epitaph is actually my favorite theme and for once in my life I actually agree with Kitase on something that the whole scene where it plays is one of the best in the game.

    Here's an awesome remix.

My favorite one is Ario di Mezzo Caratere for sure, but I also like a lot Locke's Theme and Coin of Fate.

"Forever Rachel" for the simple fact of how well it works for the solitary island if Cid dies. Really hits me hard.

What? That's how you made me feel. I think the gif is perfectly clear.

I love all the FFVI songs. I think FFVI is Uematsu's best work. Perhaps that's controversial, but it's true.

There are feels and there are laughs and there are funs. Mostly a lot of feels, though. How many times have your heard someone say FFVI was the first (if not only) game that made them care about 2d sprites? The game's pathos came primarily from the music, and set the bar for everything that came after it. I can't pick a favorite but Epitaph is obviously a solid choice. I've always especially loved:

    Phantom Forest
    Protect the Espers!
    Searching for Friends
    Magitek Research Facility
    The Magic House

Mostly for the way they set the tone for the zone or scene in which they were featured.
