Also rarely used Cait Sith.
I played with everyone, but if everyone was equal, I would probably end up using Cloud, Yuffie and Vincent/Barret.
Barret. He reminds me of Megaman and DK fused into one single entity which is too much for my brain to handle.![]()
Only person I really did not use was Vincent and Yuffie. I didn't like Vincent's limit breaks and Yuffie's character in general just annoys the hell out of me.
Cait Sith and Barret.

I tend to switch it up every playthrough. My most used would definitely be Barret, Cid and Yuffie. Though somehow, I never end up using Red XIII much. I'd also say Cait Sith but I only just recently learned to manipulate Slots to a degree and it was satisfying to Game Over Emerald and Ruby. Admittedly I didn't use him much outside of that.
I don't think Vincent graced my party even once.
Actually, that's a lie, he needed to be in there for his story related stuff. ...Other than that one thing, he was never in my party.
I tend to switch out characters when dealing with their story parts or when I felt they needed to be there. Truth be told I think Red XIII is my least used character but if I had it my way it would be Yuffie but the developers made the unfortunate mistake of making her stupid sidequest the one that gets me the Leviathan summon.![]()
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Red XIII and Vincent. I mean I liked them fine, I just liked everyone else more.
Used Vincent a lot as a kid, but I don't think I've used him at all in any of my most recent playthroughs.
My team is now eternally Cloud, Yuffie and Cid. (A Cait Sith is fine, too).
I actually do a good job of using all characters for a good amount of time. Though I do have a bias towards Tifa and Cid.
