Brave Blade or Chicken Knife?

Brave Blade. It's pretty easy to go through the game w/o having to run from a battle.

I always WANT to get the Brave Blade, but I end up running from those damn Jackanapes early on in the game and so take the Chicken Knife.

I always get the Brave Blade, I like the challenge of never running from a fight so it's usually pretty powerful.
