Either Comet or Contain. Shame that I don't feel that Contain is all that useful.

I wish I have an "Online" material to combine with my "Ultima" material to unlock the secret Ultima Online game in FF VII.
Contain is my favorite Materia; freeze and flare, in particular, I love.
Comet is my favorite one.

All the Bolt sound effects are so satisfying. I also liked the visual effects for the spells.
Ultima for me.
I was always partial to Bolt, myself. I wanted to try the Earth Materia, but I never had the gils left over for it. I can't remember if I ever had Ultima during any of my playthroughs.
