Nom nom nom Food we all (or some of us) miss

    http://www.livestrong.com/slideshow/...-sort-of-miss/

A pretty good list here. They failed to mention Jell-O Gelatin Pops, which I loved. For a more local thing, I miss Canfield's sodas, in particular their Swiss Cream cream soda.

What are some foods you miss that are no longer produced/available in your area?

Cadbury's fuse bars...... Easily the greatest chocolate bar ever.

Friggin' Jamaican meat patties. I haven't had one since I was in the Bahamas in 2008. They must exist in western supermarkets somewhere but I haven't been lucky enough to find them.

PB Crisps! Omg I loved those. And the Mario/Zelda cereal...

I miss Ice Cubes.. They're an old fashion-y type of cubed chocolate my mom and I loved. They still make it, but you gotta order on like Amazon..

    Not a commercial food, but I really miss my mom's cooking. ;_;

Since we're on the subject of how cheap Cadbury's is, how about we get back the larger Creme Eggs.

I wish we could still just buy popping candy on its own, but I haven't see it at the grocery store in forever. There are probably specialty confectionery places around here that stock it but I'm not sure. The closest thing I can buy nowadays at the store are popping candy Freddos and while they are delicious, it's just not the same, and I can't use that for cooking.

As for that list, I don't recognise like any of the foods on it.

The ice cream thread just reminded me of a vanilla ice cream with orange glaze and chocolate chips that sainsbury's used to do, I still look for it in any shop that sells ice cream, not even the specialist shops do anything similar.

It could be either you're both too young, or that the list is very American-centric, because, you know, the world revolves around US.

Jess, are you talking about the cereal w/ the little marshmallows? It's still available here. Maybe the Brits didn't take to a cereal w/ a leprechaun mascot. They're magically Catholic!

I'm going to guess it's because the list is American-centric.

    omg.

    Remember Handi Snacks!?

The little crackers or crispy breadsticks that came with a tiny ass cup of cheeze whiz!? And it was only enough for like 2 crackers when 4 came in the pack!?

    OMG PB CRISPS! And Squeezits!

I'm surprised the 3D Doritos aren't on that list, I really loved those when I was younger too.

Squeeze Its, oh my god ;________________________; Best fruit punch ever growing up! I liked the commercials with the four different faces and that there was always a grumpy one.

These were considered "expensive drinks" in my family so whenever we got a pack, I savored the trout out of it.
