He's awfully quiet and somber for someone named Rude. Reno should have been named Rude. Reno is Rude. Rude is more of a Reno. Reno 911.
Rude is my favorite of the Turks.
I always feel bad when he glitches out on the sunken ship.
Definitely my favourite out of the Turks, and the Turks are some of my favourite villains in the entire FF series, so he's doing well there.

Rude is fantastic, but I love all the Turks equally. Just like BoB said, they're my favourite villains in the entirety of Final Fantasy.

I think he works best when he has someone like Reno to bounce off of. He doesn't stick out to me all that much on his own.
I liked his straight man routine to Reno's goofball. If he was on his own, he wouldn't really stand out.

The Final Fantasy Compendium suggests that he is called "Rude" because he isn't talkative, and therefore doesn't socialize. A fanmade MST of FFVI as viewed by various FFVII characters suggests that it is meant to be ironic because he is not rude.
