True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I like how simple and no frills the game is. Its story is bare bones, so most of my time is spent dungeon crawling and in combat, which I really like, and the ability to shake up the order I do the post canoe dungeons in adds some fun variance for me.
Since this was my first RPG and I've been playing it essentially my entire life, there is an overwhelming sense of wonder and awe about it for me. Exploring this "huge" world, discovering things like how to finally get into the Mirage Tower, the terror of running into a group of Red Hydras or Frost Dragons or Gas Dragons...you can't really understand if you never played it until later.

Matoya's Cave Theme. Especially the remake version. It just makes me want to keep playing!
I continuously play this game on my cell phone these days. Addicting game play, and easy to find out where you're going. I love the classic (original) crystal story. Anything else? I'm sure there's more but excuse me, I have to play FF right now.

Class changes. It really fascinated me as a kid. It was something to strive towards and there was a real sense of accomplishment/progression after you completed that process. It's also a good way to symbolize the experience and ruggedness of your party since they look much more mature/adult like.
I like how the plot is non-existent. That's not sarcasm, it's nice to play a game that just gets to the point. I also like all the different party combinations you can have.
