Generally it was two magic focused classes and two melee, unless required otherwise by game events, such as the Garuda fight or areas where I was 'mini'd. It worked out well when I got the last two classes, as two ninjas and two sages were perfect for breezing through the final dungeon.
Melee favored general. I just happen to like swords.

I usually have a good balance. I do prefer melee, though. I just like to hit things to solve my problems...in games.
